“To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One. Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. (Isaiah 40:25-26)
Isaiah reminds us we serve the God who created the stars and, calls each one by name. We are reminded to come boldly before the throne of grace. Let’s be a people that boldly prays big prayers because we serve a great and mighty God! Do not let the limits of your imagination limit the scope of your prayer. Look to the heavens and be reminded that we pray to the Creator of the universe!
The same God who called out each star by name, has called us, by name, to a purpose and plan that is beyond anything we could ask or imagine. Dream BIG dreams! Pray BIG prayers! If we can imagine the fulfillment of our dreams from beginning to end, in our own power, then our dreams aren’t big enough. Let us have dreams that can only be accomplished if God shows up. Be bold in our prayers! Pray for the unexpected! The downpayment required to see God’s purposes and plans for our lives fulfilled, is to simply say, “Yes” to Him.
Let’s put our, “Yes” on the table and see how God uses us for His purposes.
