Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1)
This brings a whole new meaning to “Rise and Shine’. If you are a child of God, then His glory is upon you. Jesus is the light of the world and He is in us and has called us to be the salt and the light. So, no matter what your current lot in life may be, “Shine”, in that lot! Yes Jeremiah 29:11 promises that He has a plan of peace and not evil but, in verses 4-10, God tells us how to live while we are in captivity. We are to thrive and multiply as if we were not captive. Be the light no matter where you are so that those living in the darkness will be drawn to you and, in turn, to Jesus.
