Living Wells

The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?”   (John 4:11)

In verse 7 Jesus said to the woman, “Give me to drink.” As she peered into her well, she doubted she would be able to fulfill His request since her well was so deep and He didn’t have anything to draw the water with. She drew from this well on her own on a regular basis and knew just how deep it was and how much work it was going to take to please Jesus, so, she doubted.

How many of our own “wells” are we staring into, doubtful that we can please Jesus because of the depth? He stands beside the wells of our past, our wells of despair, depression, anger, uncertainty, fear, insecurity and sorrow and He offers us Living water.  He doesn’t want us to dig into those wells for Him to drink. He wants to replace the dead water in our wells with Living water from above. He will turn the deep wells of doubt into springs of life-giving water.

When we allow Jesus to redeem our old wells with his new, life-giving water, we in turn become refreshing springs of life to those around us. Surrender to Jesus today and let Him redeem your story and refresh your life.

Be Blessed. Love Y’all.
