Testify

Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision…  (Acts 26:19)

Standing on trial before the king, Paul gave his testimony of his past as a persecutor and how Jesus met him on the road to Damascus and changed his life. He spoke of the vision Jesus gave him to go spread the word to the Gentiles. His former and present reputation preceded him wherever he went, and he lived out the vision Jesus gave him. No matter where Paul found himself, free or bound in chains, he followed the vision to tell everyone the gospel. Even standing before the king Agrippa and Paul’s accusers, Paul preached the gospel.
In Ephesians 6:19 we see Paul in prison, chained to a guard and his request is not for freedom, but instead for boldness to preach the mystery of the gospel. We have been given a vision from Jesus as well. In Matthew 28:19 Jesus gives us “The Great Commission” to go and make disciples of all nations. May we never get so busy with everyday distractions that we are disobedient of the vision we have been given. Instead, let Ephesians 6:19 be our prayer; “and also for me, that words be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel.”

Love Y’all! Be blessed!
