Crucified for Life

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life, I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.  (Galatians 2.20)

I think we have become numb to the word “crucified” and what it truly represents. To be crucified with Christ means to have died with Him. It means death to your old way of life. It is death to the sin that controls you. It means the control Satan had over you is abolished and your contract with him is null and void. And yes, you do have a contract with Satan. Any part of you that you deny to God, you give to Satan and he has authority over you.

Saying the “sinner’s prayer” doesn’t save you. Walking down an aisle doesn’t save you. Your surrender to Christ is what saves you. But, when you say that prayer, you are acknowledging your guilt and accepting your death sentence. When you walk down the aisle it is symbolic of taking up your cross and carrying it publicly through the streets like Jesus did. You carry all the doubt, the fear, the unanswered questions, the sin and all the barriers with you and nail them to the cross. You tear up the contract and control Satan has over you and begin your new life in Christ. Any disagreement with God is an agreement with Satan. Tear up any contract you have with Satan and let the old you die.

Love Y’all! Be Blessed!
