Episode 42: Monday Who?

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.   (Psalm 19:14)

I know its Monday and the weekend is over. Maybe you’re going back to work today after the weekend or maybe you never stopped working over the weekend. Maybe you’re still looking for a job. Typically, when people talk about Monday, it’s not in a positive light. But let’s remember that this is the day the Lord has made and we should rejoice in it.

Take the challenge in the verse above and let the words of our mouth be pleasing to the Lord today. Let our thoughts be acceptable in His sight. Give the negative thoughts an eviction notice and stop letting them rent space in our head. We have the ultimate motivation to overcome the Monday blues. We know that today and every day, our Lord is still alive! He overcame death and the grave and His spirit is alive in us! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead strengthens us each day. Monday ain’t got nothing on us! Let us be a people who remembers that we are more than conquerors in Jesus, even conquerors over Monday.
