Episode #44: Stay on Mission
For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. (2 Corinthians 1:20-22)
Every promise of God has been resoundingly fulfilled in Christ. As believers, we have received the Holy Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee of those promises. We have been given a gift much like the servants in the parable of the talents. When we deny the power of the Holy Spirit in us, we act like the servant that buried the talent and did not use it. We in essence tell God that we doubt His power in us. We act as if the gift He gave us is not enough for us to do what He has called us to do.
God talks about the victories of our battles in past tense. He has already won the battles we face, and He has given us the power to go claim the victory. We need to be bold and fearless in the pursuit of His promises. Let us be a people that do not strive to achieve victory in Christ but live from the victory He has already given us. Stay on mission!
