Episode #51: Constant Prayer
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, (I Thessalonians 5:16-17)
Simple words but not so simple actions. Our praise and our prayer should be as constant and natural as the air in our lungs and the blood in our veins. It should not be based on our circumstances or even whether or not our prayers have been answered before. I’ve heard it said God answers prayer in three ways, Yes, No and Later. The truth is, He always answers prayer with the best answer. It may not seem like it to us because it may be different than what we asked. God doesn’t want good for us. He wants the best for us.
Let’s lift up our praise and our prayers, not because of our current circumstances, but in the middle of them. We will breathe and our blood will flow until the day we die. Let us be a people who let our praise and our prayer flow as constant and natural as the blood in our veins and the breath in our lungs.
