In All Things

Episode #67: In All Things

“in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.” (Titus 2:7-8)

When Paul says, “In ALL things” he means ALL things. He’s not just referring to our deeds and words at church. He means at home, at work, at school and even at play. We may have a doctrine that sounds good and looks good on Sunday but if we act and speak differently away from church, our doctrine will be made ineffective. James 1:8 says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:13 both say we cannot serve two masters. We will be devoted to one and despise the other. Our deeds and our speech will reveal the master we truly serve. The church is unstable if the actions and speech of the body do not line up with the doctrine it teaches. Let’s examine our deeds and speech to see which doctrine we are truly representing.

Let us be a people whose actions do not speak louder than our words but are actually aligned with each other and with the Word of God.

Love Y’all! Be Blessed!
