Run and Lead with Endurance

Episode #73: Run and Lead with Endurance

“Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.”
(Hebrews 12:12-13)

Paul starts this chapter talking about a great cloud of witnesses watching us run our race. He talks about persecution, discipline, and endurance that we all will go through. But here he switches gears to remind us that are not in the race alone. There are those coming behind us that we need to help out. If you’ve been to a cross country race, you’ve seen this modeled. All along the course there are people standing and cheering. They are not only looking for the runners, but they are serving to keep the course clear. When they see a runner coming, they start yelling, “We have runners coming! Clear the course!

In essence, Paul says, “I know your arms are tired and your knees are weak but look to Jesus and what he endured for us. Look how far you’ve come! Stand tall! Raise your hands and clear a path! There are those coming behind you that need your help to see the way.” Let us be a people of endurance as we run our race and lead those who are running theirs.

Love Y’all! Be Blessed!
