Episode #96: Yes, He Has. Yes, He Will.
“Then He got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. They were completely astounded, because they had not understood about the loaves. Instead, their hearts were hardened.” (Mark 6:51-52)
The disciples had not understood the miracle Jesus just performed by feeding thousands with five fish and two loaves. How is it possible that they were this close to Jesus and still didn’t get it? We give the disciples a hard time for not seeing Jesus for who He said He was even though they were that close.
We’re no different. We often don’t see God working for us in the moment. It’s usually not until we look back and put the pieces together that we see God’s hand at work. We live our lives in fear of what’s coming against us instead of in expectation and faith of how God is going to get us through it. Let’s make the move from fear to faith. Let’s move from the wonder of what He has done in the past to the expectation of the things He is going to do that we still can’t see.
When we apply the lessons we learned in our, “That had to be done by Jesus experiences”, it gives us confidence to say Yes in areas where, “It will be done, it can only be done by Jesus.” Let us be a people who do not forget the lessons we have learned in what God has done for us but instead use those lessons as fuel for the mission ahead.
